About the event

SAGGERS PLAYS POP - TOUCHING CLOTH: A FABRICATED HISTORY OF FROME

Back by popular demand from Rare Species Theatre Company, creators of cult hit “Frome - The Fecund Coming”, “Not on the Buses” and Mojo Moves.

Join eminent whistorian Virginia Saggers on a silent disco walking tour of Frome. Having been recently released from a secure unit (where she was detained for attempting to sacrifice her colleague at Boyle’s Cross), Virginia has “modernised” her approach to guided tours of the town and is offering an insight into the popular culture of the 1970s, 80s and 90s complete with a carefully curated soundtrack delivered direct to your ears via headphones.

This year we celebrate the rich heritage of the town in “Touching Cloth” - a tapestry of stories woven with modern music and dancing on a 1.5 mile route.

Let her take you by the hand (metaphorically) and lead you down…
